Spruce up your home for less this autumn
As the nights get longer and we start to spend more time at home, now is the perfect time to give your interior a refresh. There are lots of ways you can change up your interior on a budget, so we've put together a list to get you started.
Give the room some colour
Picking out some new wallpaper or paint is one of the simplest ways to give your home a new look. Orange, caramel and brown colours are great for giving a room a cozy and comforting feel.
Or, why not visit your local hardware store for some wallpaper? Many stores offer discounted products, so updating your interior doesn't have to break the bank.
Add new furniture
The next step is to fix up some new furniture to bring the room to life. It's important to make the most of the wooden furniture you currently own, so why not get the paintbrush out and give each piece a fresh coat?
Looking to make some new additions to a room? Bring the autumn into your home with neutral-coloured or textured furniture accessories like cushions, rugs or throws. Ditching your old blinds for some fabric curtains is a great way of making a room feel more comfortable and warm. You can also swap cushions from different rooms to keep each room looking like new.
Lighten up your home
Getting the right mix of natural and artificial light can be tricky, but it's essential for giving the room a snug feel, especially as the days get darker in the autumn.
A new lampshade can help diffuse light across a room, or try out a new lightbulb to create a warm tone. If you're feeling a bit extra, hang some string lights and light scented candles to create a calming mood around your home.
Think green
Give each room a natural feel with some unique house plants. Placing them around the room is proven to improve mood, and will make your home even more welcoming. So, why not take a trip to your local garden centre and see what catches your eye?
