We're thrilled to announce that Abri has been shortlisted for not one, but two First Time Buyer Readers' Awards. Voting is now open, so you can support us in our efforts to win Best Small Development and Best First Time Buyer Apartment 2022.
Some of the most acclaimed awards in the industry, the First Time Buyer Readers' Awards celebrate the very best in housing, and have been running for 13 years.
Best Small Development
This award will be given to small developments that have used the best design and quality to create desirable, affordable and inspiring environments in which people wish to set up their first home. The award is for schemes of fewer than 30 homes.
Our new community at Hilltop View, Catherington is in the running for this award. An exclusive neighbourhood of only 29 one, two and three bedroom homes in the charming village of Catherington. Surrounded by the South Downs National Park, overlooking open spaces, these homes were in an ideal location.
And 12 of these new homes were available on Shared Ownership. With local area connections required for all buyers, we helped more people step onto the property ladder within their own community.
Best First Time Buyer Apartment
This award is for an apartment suitable for a first time buyer, which is affordable and also offers excellent design flair, both inside and out.
An it's no surprise that The Chocolate Factory was shortlisted for this award. This development saw a stunning regeneration of the old Elizabeth Shaw Chocolate Factory in Greenbank, Bristol. With affordable homes in Bristol in high-demand, Abri were delighted to offer one and two bedroom Shared Ownership homes within this community.
The Chocolate Factory was a mixture of newbuild and refurbished apartment blocks, alongside houses offered by our partners at Generator. The regeneration project also saw a new community hub and landscaped central square created. Each home will be complete with unique, industrial finishes, as well as high ceilings and feature arched windows.
